Ripe pears, apricots and the scent of roasted nut. Evocative of autumn, kicking crisp orange leaves and wearing a slightly scratchy sweater. I'm an oak fan so this is nice but may be heavy. Not so much a summer or spring sipper. Roast chicken or robust cheese with crusty bread.

2013 - ruby (almost rose colored) with ripe blackberry, plum, raisin on the nose. Smoky, high-tannic palate with strong umami element, and the typical leather/tobacco combination.
