This is a big Napa Merlot, with a solid tannic structure balanced by surprisingly bright acidity. The bouquet has dark currants and oak, but the flavors are layered, with bright currants initially leading into mildly chewy coffee and cherry flavors. The finish is equally complex, with some thick tannins but some tingly acidity lingering on. I stocked up on a number of extra bottles 🍷😻
