This was poured late in the day at the end of our tasting. I didn’t take detailed notes due to the timing. I hit my limit on taking notes as well.
I can tell you this bottling is not inexpensive ($250 a bottle in 3-packs) but, certainly one to watch. Especially, if it hits the secondary markets in single bottles for less.
It’s dark, brooding, lush, round, silky & velvety in the mouth. Dark currants, dark chocolate, darkest expresso roast, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg & vanilla, anise, dark spice, fresh tobacco, soft leather, soft minerality, fresh & withering dark, red florals set in a field of lavender & violets. The acidity is round and excellent. The big, long, elegant, lush, round, well balanced & polished finish is gorgeous & persists on the palate for several minutes.
This is a blend of; Tench, Erba, Houyi & Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyards.

This was the winner of the 2 day visit w Willi. The price isnt sexy but the wine definitely is! '18 I think...Erba and Tench CS plus Sugarloaf Merlot.
