Edizione Pennino Rutherford Zinfandel

A Rutherford Zinfandel that eschews the high alcohol and high sugar style predominant in California, this wine is balanced with medium body and smooth blueberry tones. In a blind taste test I would have guessed a Merlot/Sangiovese blend.

A classy Zin- with more of a Meritage-like structure and oak with its Zin fruit. Good ripeness for the vintage, and good balance.

Really well made, solid fruit intensity and decent balance.

This is a really solid Zin from an amazing brand. It is light and earthy and isn't too jammy at all. It would be a stand out if Inglenook's other wines weren't so stellar.

Even better than the bottle I opened last year.

Paired well with smoked pork shoulder, vinegar-based sauce, and truffle mashed potatoes. Spicy nose, licorice and chocolate with intense fruit

Love this Zin

I like this zin. Not as jammy as others and seems smoother.

Nose present full dark fruit and lots of American oak. Herbs, leaves, and earth. On the palate the petite Syrah is prevalent on the palate with juicy fruits. Great spice integrated well with soft tannins, acidic edges making it food friendly, and a velvety finish. Could use a few years in the bottle
