Just opened a 2011 vintage, decanted for 30 minutes. Turned out very well. I think the age helped restore some balance for his wine. On the lighter side of full bodies. Ripe red berries, spices, good pairing with a spiced ham with horseradish mustard...

The nose was all leather, spice and cherry tart. Never really came together on the palate but the elements were so promising, better made than previous Grappolos for me. I'd hold this for 5 years and expect 91++.
