Took a little over an hour to open and really show it's stuff, dark plums, spice box, nice acidity, medium bodied.

Very dark purple, moving toward white at the rim. Medium viscosity, medium staining. Nose sees ripe, baked red cherries, oak, vanilla. Palette sees tart cranberries, ripe cherries, medium+ acid, medium- tannins and a long finish of medium complexity. This is a super solid wine that took a couple of days to open up- the initial tight cranberries and acid develop into a beautiful, ripe, red cherry focused wine with enough acid and heft to make it interesting, even on its own. I’d wait another 3-5 years, but if you are drinking now, let it breathe overnight!
