I was just complaining that too many CA viogniers are trying to be chardonnays. This ain't all that but still a little too oaked for me. Aromas are subtle with traces of pear and spice. The full body is nice but the flavor lacks depth. I'd like more tropical fruit and flower and less wood. Still, not bad if I put my expectations aside.
