Wow. I know this is just their run of the mill blend.. but holy shit this thing aged so well! I haven't had the pleasure of drinking well aged Alsatian wine, so this was a real treat. Cork shredded, so we weren't sure if it kept, and the nose was hidden til it hit the glass. When we poured it, the color actually changed from deep straw yellow, to golden amber. The aromas were amazing and indicated it'd be a sweet wine - clover honey, pine needle, slate rocks, lemon peel, and pineapple flying out of the glass, incredibly aromatic. What wad more interesting was the pallet! After what I smelled, I was convinced it would be at least semi-sweet.. but I was dead wrong. Bone dry, and was weirdly reminiscent of Fino Sherry - raw almond, bitter orange peel, lemon, pineapple, ginger spice, and a VERY youthful acidity.. it's crazy that this wine could have continued on and developed too!

Thank you
@Kyle Groombridge for opening this last night! It was truly a special wine. Now my soul needs more mature Alsatian wine!
