Pretty cool dessert wine to share with the family this past weekend. A small estate winery in Sta. Rita Hills who is apparently closing up shop after this year. Tried their estate dornfelder earlier this year and loved it and now I was gifted a bottle of their "late harvest" dornfelder. Really unctuous with blackberry compote, prunes, sap, and red licorice.. lovely viscosity. Definitely a sipper. Cool to try.
