Not too shabby for a $5 wine. I would definitely buy again. Great if your looking for something inexpensive, but still enjoyable to drink.

Sight:Clear medium ruby in sight.
Nose: Blast off! Very pronounced and concentrated aromas of sugar coated raisins, crunchy grape seeds, dried leaves, camp fire, and dusty hiking trails.
Palate: Dry as the desert is hot. High Acid, High Tannin. Light Body. Very pronounced and concentrated flavors of dark fruit skins, dark berries, dry end of summer bramble, hot and tired crush pad at the end of harvest.
Finish: Quick finish, but acid and tannin stay to play.
Conclusion: Poor quality. Big fatty tough cuts of meat, will play nicely with the acid and tannin in this wine.
Commentary: Decant this bad bird, well in advance.
Props for easily removed synthetic cork.
The back label states this is an importer Italian Zin, website states its a blend of California Zin....
