I never ever thought I would say this about an Hourglass wine. Vinous rated at a 90, generous, maybe in time! I'm disappointed considering the price, this wine is usually stellar.

Sep 12th, 2025This wine keeps getting better! I have posted this previously. Great long finish, enhanced honey notes, lemon, nectarine, grapefruit, orange marmalade, cheese rind, and graphite.
This Napa County SB is not as great as the Estate SB, but it's still really superb!

Pale straw in color. Aromas of honey, grapefruit, lemon, orange marmalade, apple, and wet crushed rock! Taste pretty much follows. This Hourglass wine is always a treat!

Dec 13th, 2023Meyer lemon, papaya, spearmint, gooseberry, and honey characteristics have now developed, salty crushed rocks (seashore). Always a beautiful wine!

May 12th, 2023Just a great Sauvignon Blanc! So excited to see this back at local grocery wine dept! Normal pricing this time; previous due to wildfires! Crisp acid, minerals, lemon, papaya grapefruit...this wine is young but ages beautifully!
