1959 Clos des Abaux Hospices de Beaune village wine from Beaune. Great looking old burgundy bottle. Brownish orange red. Sweet cherry and some prune in the nose, plus roses, violets, and pepper. Still alive on day 2. A little stewy, but a nice experience nonetheless. I liked this more than others.
