Horta Osorio Wines
Reserva Douro Red Blend

Purple in color with a purplish rim.
Fruity nose with black fruits, light wood, spices, chocolates, herbs, light meldew, tobacco leaf and peppercorn.
Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity.
Very dry on the palate with red cherries, currants, plums, licorice, light wood, coffee, peppercorn, herbs, black tea and light vegetables.
Medium length on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This a very tasty red blend from Portugal. Elegant and smooth.
Complex, nicely balanced and very dry at this point.
This 7 year old is still drinking nicely, although not at its peak anymore. Lost some of the fruits, but gained complexity. Feels like a very dry California Cabernet.
Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food.
A blend of 55% Touriga Franca, 35% Touriga Nacional and 10% Sousao. Aged for 14 months in oak barrels.
14% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
$20.

Great wine with lovely blueberry notes as well as the light touch of wood. A true Douro that goes especially well with meats but can handle it self nicely with everything else. Loved it!
