Dark inky in color with a brownish rim.

A little sour on the nose, yet fruity with wild flowers, cherries, blackberries, currants, vanilla, chocolate, oak, licorice and white pepper.

Medium plus in body with nice long legs and high acidity.

Smooth on the palate with cherries, strawberries, red currants, vanilla, licorice, ginger, wood, earth and black pepper.

Medium finish with smooth, round tannins and tart cherries.

This was worth the wait. Not an expensive wine, yet time did very well for it. I kept it for a few years to check how it would age.

I liked the nose more than the palate, though. After 45 minutes of opening up, it started deteriorating and lost some fruits. So drink quickly...
Paired it with Brie cheese.

13.5% alcohol by volume.
