2016 Gil Family Estates Tempranillo Rioja Honoro Vera. My friend got this for my birthday around this time last year, and it’s my first time trying Rioja. Unfortunately, this wine leaves me wanting more. It’s quite bitter and thin. Slight taste of blackberry, not much after taste. I must say, it makes me hesitant to try other Tempranillo’s in the future, but if course I won’t judge the whole grape variety from one bottle of wine.
