Introducing the Hogs in the Woods 2016 Tempranillo from the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia ($18). Tempranillo is a Spanish grape and its name comes from the word ‘temprano’ which means ‘early’. Tempranillo grapes typically ripen several weeks earlier than most Spanish red grapes.
It’s a ruby red colour in the glass. Notes of sweet spice, red currants and vanilla infused plums come through on the nose. While in the mouth it’s fruity, juicy and very easy drinking.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #winesample #tcweekdaywine
