Not sure what to say about this one? Enjoyed it but kinda weird. Bruised apple, cantaloupe on the edge, orange marmalade. Obviously some skin contact, and I’m just not a nutter for those.

Dec 25th, 2017I’m intrigued by Nate Ready’s Hiyu project from the Hood River region in Oregon. This is characterized as a field blend of white/red Burgundian grapes made as alpine style white wine. Really interesting, but difficult for me to get past the $95 price point. Nate’s related Smockshop Band label has some wines that are just as interesting in the $30-$55 range. Worth checking out if you want to unleash your inner wine geek.
