Mar 12th, 2020Color of dark amber. Nice nose of green apple, spice, mint, ripe banana, and aldehyde. Taste of condensed brown sugar, toffee, a bit spice, a bit minty, and very smooth. Nice green apple and black tea aftertaste on the tongue. A good bottle with decent mix of sweetness and spice. A bit lack in complexity but overall very enjoyable and easy to drink.

1 person found it helpfulDec 21st, 2016This is a very nicely balance rye. Nose is toasted cinnamon and clove. Palate is sweet brown sugar on the entry followed by distinctive rye spices. Finish could be a bit longer but has a nice unexpected barley note. This is a full bodied assertive, yet gentle, whiskey for those afraid of ryes (like I once was...).
