Quite nice with richly perfumed nose of cedar and black fruit. Flavors of black olive, black cherry, and cassis. Surprised it's not more tannic, 'cause it could actually use some.
Quite nice with richly perfumed nose of cedar and black fruit. Flavors of black olive, black cherry, and cassis. Surprised it's not more tannic, 'cause it could actually use some.
Leather on the nose with a hint of fresh cut raspberries, on the palate you get a tart cherry flavor with medium acidity and a very light oak flavor to it. Body is medium and it has a nice long finish. 2016 vintage opened in 2019. I would recommend let this vintage sit at least till 2021, has potential to grow into something special. Very red mountain like.
