Deep ruby purple in the glass. Abundant nose of cassis, rhubarb, and light graphite. Fruit forward, full-bodied palate echoes the nose with medium acidity and medium plus, dusty tannins. Long, dark red finish wraps it all up. An excellent match for my cowboy rubbed porterhouse, and the perfect subject to test out my new Repour stoppers. ITD great now. I’ll be back over the course of the week to see how it fares. IF I don’t finish it all tonight! 😉

I love Howell Mtn wines in general, and this '95 was still a baby!! Beautiful structure and fruit. Glad to be able to share it!

Quite impressed. Have been sitting on this one for awhile. Well balanced, nice fruit, soft tannins.

After it opens up it will most likely be a 91. But football is on and we are thirsty for a great cab to sip on. It may not make it that long. Wonderful character and balance with a touch of oak. Should pair well with a grilled rib eye or New York Strip .... and so much more. It's already opening to a 90!
