Aug 26th, 2016Raspberry jam dominates initially, with cola and baking spices quickly following. The spicy finish is long and mouthwatering, though syrupy. Simple and fruit-forward, but enjoyable and a great QPR for $20.
The color is already starting to turn brownish, so drink now. On the other hand, the fruit is still very strong so it might have a few years left.

Big herbaceous nose at outset. Lots of alcohol in the nose but i know this vintage so let it breathe. Nose gives way to bramble patch and twigs. High alcohol nose betrays the first quaff which is smooth. Smooth leather and bramble berries with an ever so slight cigar note finish. Look-if you can get this for the price do it. Period.
