In celebration of Canada's 150th birthday on July 1st I am focusing my attention on Canadian beers "IPA's and wines. This one from the Okanagan Valley BC is a pure Canadian. Aged in French and American oak this full body layered wine presents a smooth well balanced taste with hints of sage, raspberry, vanilla and a touch of pepper. Still young it has the weight to age well.

Dark berries, chocolate and pepper on the nose and palate. Smooth tannins and balanced acidity. Can drink now or age for a few years. This is a great value wine.

Found this hiding in the back of the cellar. Wow what 9 years can do. Deep dark and mysterious. Big jammy plums on the nose. On the tongue it lightens up amd that plum turns into a lighter red, Raspberry maybe with a mellow mild pepper finish A damn fine Cab Franc
