The prep for my Napa trip continues as Classic hosted Hertelendy Winery tonight. Extremely small production with PTitus as the consulting winemaker. Vineyards located just below the Howell Mtn designation.
Ralph Hertelendy is a unique character. Very cut and dry, it is what it is, and he loves in your face wine. Thus, a big Chardonnay. Should have been decanted. Butterscotch, popcorn kernel, lemon tarts, and a heavy texture on the palate. Larger ABV on this than his cab!
