Hill of Grace Vineyard Shiraz

This Shiraz is older than the one in the Rhone Valley, was planted on 1860. Because it has more altitude than the vineyards of the Barossa it shows better acidity and even the caracteristic spices from colder areas, it's elegant and lingering

1999 Vintage - my first Hill of Grace! All consuming nose of ripe plum with hints of lanolin. Incredible robust nose. Lingers in the mouth for minutes juicing all the while - still large well integrated acid and tannin - scoring 3/7/9.5 = 19.5 out of 100 = 98.5 really like this vintage

1999 Henschke Hill of Grace Syrah. Dinner at Ch Ven w J&L B and J&J D. Awesome. Tons of dark fruit, leather, pepper, pencil shavings. Super long finish.

Powerful, mint infused delight, with some nettles (we are drunk!)

After 5 hours of decanting the wine at last opens up and taste really beautiful . You can't hardly tell the difference then whether it's Australian or French wine , it's almost or if not taste similar like a Bordeaux ... Worth the money

Northern Rhone style from Australia. First time I've had hill of grace... Wow
