Deep dark color. Looks, smells, and tastes like well crafted Bourgogne...but not much more. Only a slight hint of any Chambolle character on the nose, but otherwise, a little disappointing. The last of the bottle shows some nice velvety texture, but I'm left craving the lacy red-fruited elegance I associate with this village. Maybe with time?

For village burgundy, this is tough to beat. Classic chambolle purity, but definitely shows some structure for aging, as everything is still a bit wound up. I wish I had bought heavier on this vintage!
