Deep dark color. Looks, smells, and tastes like well crafted Bourgogne...but not much more. Only a slight hint of any Chambolle character on the nose, but otherwise, a little disappointing. The last of the bottle shows some nice velvety texture, but I'm left craving the lacy red-fruited elegance I associate with this village. Maybe with time?

Oct 14th, 2016For village burgundy, this is tough to beat. Classic chambolle purity, but definitely shows some structure for aging, as everything is still a bit wound up. I wish I had bought heavier on this vintage!
