Old world in style but a little past it's prime in my opinion. To be fair it followed a big bright Syrah and some other bigger wines that overshadowed the nuances of a Bordeaux styled wine like this.

Tannins aren't soft after 10 years .... Losing fruit flavor. While I liked the wine, I am glad I didn't store longer. 2003 was a hot year, wine a bit out of balance.

From all estate fruit this is a late release showing some evolution with fresh plowed earth and dark coco very smooth and silky texture with some dark spices peppery with hints of mocha and dark earth very complex with layers of mineral and spice very fresh and long layered finish. Showing evolution perfect balance. Finish 45+ excellent +
