Heavily extracted raspberry, black cherry, cassis, blackberry, black plum, mocks, vanilla and toast the main impression is the grapes (cab Sauvignon, cab franc, merlot and syrah with Vetri small amounts of other grapes) were overly ripe giving the wine a jammy character that borders on cloying (though it is fully dry). I longed for a bit more acidity and better definition though dinner guests loved the wine. Smooth velvet tannins, medium acidity and only 13.5% abv
