Top Notes For
Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.
Oaky nose of fresh wood, blackberries, currants, strawberries, raspberries, vanilla, wild flowers, licorice, spices, earth, pencil lead, chocolates, smoke, green vegetables, bacon and light peppercorn.
Medium-bodied with nice legs and medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with cloves, spices, oak, blackberries, blueberries, currants, vanilla, stones, earth, dirt and black pepper.
Long finish with firm (green) tannins and spices.
A Nice, Single Vineyard, Malbec that is very unique. I wouldn't call it at a blind tasting as Malbec, though. Nice by itself or with a lamb dish.
The Grapes were grown at an elevation of 3600 feet. The wine was made with Native yeast and with minimal human interaction.
14% alcohol by volume.

Wonderfully complex Malbec for the price. Enjoying it now with beef fajitas.
