Deep, leathery red with hints of tobacco and spice. Good as a standalone wine, but if I had to pair it, it'd be with gourd and squash dishes.

Inoffensive. Value to price ratio is very high. Hyperaeration is not necessary and is a mistake with this wine. Avoid lengthy decanting. This rioja spoils quickly--old socks on the nose.
