Overt oak tones blew off quickly, leaving an elegant, complex, and powerful wine. As others have said, this wine is going to go the distance. Simply superb.

2010. Again. Still so youthful. Needed a longer decant. 90 mins and just starting to open. Lean, elegant, and balanced. You would never guess 14.5% abv. This wine has soul. I chose this as a libation to the wine gods, a prayer that Northern California might be spared any further hardship. I’m willing to open other wines if this offering proves insufficient.
