Didn't realize how limited the number of beers that are allowed to label 'Oktoberfest' even knowing the strict German rules ... Just an amazing Marzen and simply the best I've ever had .

99 years before the Reinheitsgebot, this beer probably reeked of smoke and rat dander. But what didn't? Today it is dried pine cone memories of ammonia capsule and tafelbrötchen. Oktoberfest year round with this outfit, I believe, but that's not always bad. There is a Becks-y, not quite fresh, but far from offensive, dried wet hay thing that is south of pleasant, but overall, easy as pie crust and pausebröt.
