Man that is tasty.. even better than the last vintage. 144 yr old ungrafted pre-phyloxera bush vines, on sale for $19.. unheard of. This sucker is flamboyant on the nose with black cherry, violets, vanilla, chocolate and toast. The palate has a great balance with rich fruit, medium(+) tannins, gripping acid, and pretty high alcohol. Clearly a hot vintage in Toro, making some splendid but serious Tempranillo.

Peppery, complex, and acidic. Tasted like I'm sipping on some szzzurp, not drinking an exciting Spanish red.
