Polished & elegantly styled, very fruit focused w/pure core of ripe Bing cherry pleasantly dusted with sweet spice. Juicy w/pliable tannins - just wished for some complexity & some sun dried fruit accents.

Intense violet, dried cherry, gravel, dried thyme, and cocoa powder on the nose.
Cherry juice, violet, spice, and dried cranberry on the palate. Med- acidity and med dusting of tannin.
Tasty wine that's pretty darn approachable now. Enjoyed the viscosity and extracted fruit flavors without being over the top.

Concentrated sour cherry, red fruit, and hints of chocolate. A bit more subdued than many Ripassos but in a good way. Excellent wine to pair with food. Small, but very old family winery. Well made and recommended. 2015 vintage on Jul 8, 2019

Restrained for a ripasso. Nice raisin and red fruit. Tannins were mild and the finish was moderate. An average wine with no flaws and no memorable notes.

Oct 16th, 2018Awesome Ripasso. 2014 was a very tough vintage in Veneto. Rizzardi did a great job here considering the difficult vintage. Bouquet of currants and earth. Palate is dry with a long finish. Very enjoyable Ripasso.
