It looks like I already had this wine, in the same vintage, a while ago. And I think I like it more this time around. The nose shows coconut, cherry, blackberry, a bit of meat juice too. The palate is wide, long and shows some matter and thickness. Blackberry and cherry all along, great and soft mouthfeel at first, before a good tannic wall, but with a certain age on it which means it's integrated and more dusty and sandy than really drying. It adds only a bit of a complex layer on top of a blackberry, cherry-forward finish with coconut notes all long. I like it better than last time.

Nose of vanilla and oak, tar, blackberries, coffee, black pepper. It's deep and intense. The palate is a bit surprising as it's rather thin and acid driven when I expected a muscular, big and broad palate. Some blackberry notes and oaky touches give way to some tannins that leave a dry layer, but it's not as harsh as I expected it, it's almost refrained. The finish is showing the same notes than the palate but it's thin and acid driven, and a tiny bit bitter in the end. Well, not what I expected. Not great, but working rather well with stewed meat.
