Quite an interesting new varietal for me. Unusual garnet color with some brownish tints. High elevation fruit. Looks more like a dark rose’ than a traditional red. Aromas and flavors of cherry and strawberry fruit. Subtle hints of slate, iron, orange zest and rose petals. Ripping acidity and practically no tannins. Nice flavor and light body. Took a chill very well. Fascinating and delicious! Thank you for sharing, Ron B!

My first taste of this obscure varietal; in fact, I've only seen it produced by Grosjean. When I first poured it I couldn't decide if it was a really light red or a really dark rosé. But when I had my first taste I decided that it drank much more like a rosé. Delicious floral aromas and flavors of strawberry and rhubarb. 100% Premetta. 3/4/23.
