Solid, but a bit too ripe to express the Syrah characteristics I’m looking for. Not at all bad, just not very thought provoking.

Jan 24th, 2021Deep, dark purple color and full bodied. Some vanilla and violet on the nose, it’s a brooding wine with big blue and black fruits and noticeable, but not distracting, oak treatment. Zinfandel-like - very obviously new world, and not overly complex, but undeniably tasty.

The 2013 Tip Top Syrah is delightful wine. It took only minutes to open to full body and flavor. A thoughtful gift from co-worker.
