Breg Francesco Joško Gravner Table Wine Friuli 1995 .. one of those rare wines that gives me great joy and melancholy at the same time just because since the first sip I do perceive already extinguished the whole bottle in less than half a second; I've no other words to express this elusive feeling, words by mythologist Károly Kerényi: "Where is the kingdom of Dionysus over there life proves irreducible and with no borders."

1994. Pale straw rim, clean, barrique aging still obvious even after all that bottle age, dry, light bodied, acidity is balanced, delicate, or would be if it weren't for the masking oak. Somm suggested a long decant, but it hardly moved even after two hours. Boring and one dimensional.

Concentrate, rich, oaky (maybe to much) speaking about Friuli!! Unfortunately a wine that will never be made again!!
