Jan 1st, 2016Dark cocoa and unsweetened bakers chocolate sprang fourth first, also mocha and brown - literally the color - and very mellow fruits. I've had this one open opening and an hour later and the changes are causing me to doubt my earlier convictions. Still, on Syrah night this isn't standing out.

Dec 9th, 2015Dark cherry on the nose. The palate struck me as tight or "unsharing;" I enjoy a more fruit forward Syrah with a lusher mouthfeel. The acidity struck me as a bit austere. Overall, a well made wine that is just not really my style. A quality I did enjoy was the nice lingering finish.
