Dark and deep - this an enjoyable Malbec dominant blend. Great lush mouthfeel. Plum and cherry there and some anise on the enjoyable, long & lingering finish. — 9 years ago
A $14 Barossa Shiraz from a decent vintage. Really, if you like Shiraz how can you go wrong. Nothing memorable but certainly competent. — 9 years ago
The 2011 vintage is not for me. A lighter to medium-bodied Grenache, it is more watery than juicy. Some peppery notes on the draw. — 9 years ago
They toss in some other varietals to try to tame the Barossa beast - Shiraz. And it pretty much works. The dark, rich fruits of Shiraz push through, while the other grapes temper the overall message, making it more diplomatic. This is a nice weekday choice at $17-18. Pretty consistent wine year in, year out. — 9 years ago
Inky dark, super ripe dark fruit on the nose, and a rich, full mouthfeel, followed by a lingering finish. Mmmm Mmm. Licorice notes detected. Reminiscent of a good Barossa Shiraz. Well done. I enjoyed the 2013 vintage. — 9 years ago
Dark cherry on the nose. The palate struck me as tight or "unsharing;" I enjoy a more fruit forward Syrah with a lusher mouthfeel. The acidity struck me as a bit austere. Overall, a well made wine that is just not really my style. A quality I did enjoy was the nice lingering finish. — 9 years ago
Looks transparent on the pour but it definitely punches above its appearance. Rich and juicy with a centeredness that showcases gorgeous fruit with light pepper and spice notes. Supple, sensual mouthfeel. Finishes in a comfortable rounded fashion. Mmmmm. Top notch zin for everyday. 2011 vintage. — 9 years ago
Juicy and easy drinking, it has a smooth mouthfeel and a note of spice on the clean quick finish. Nice everyday wine at about $14. Mine was the 2010 vintage. — 9 years ago

Chilean Syrah? You betcha. Darkly hued and easy drinking. Big but not heavy. More of the mineral, herb & mocha Syrah stylings as opposed to those with dark berries, cherries, and plums. Wonderful loooong lasting finish. Very nice for the $20 range. — 9 years ago
