This stuff was absolutely amazing. One of the best Alexander Valley wines I've had in quite some time! It was so young and and so much time ahead of it! I killed it anyway.
The nose was so enticing and floral - if not for the already beautiful aromas of baked black fruits, tobacco and leather, the immediate presence of menthol, or eucalyptus leaf was jettisoning out of the glass. The pallet was silky smooth, with all the tannins and oak perfectly integrated - cocoa, smoked blackberry, mint, gravel, and a lingering finish. Wish I had more of this, but it was a singular find. What a great wine, it sure put Jordan to shame.

2006 isn't showing too well. Like most 06's, there is an unpleasant characteristic regarding the finish where the lasting impression is one of tartness and I was left wanting to leave the glass on the table.

This wine is amazing if you have been drinking reds for a while or if you are just getting into reds. You will enjoy this wine. A little on the pricey side but well worth the money spent.

While I think this is an outstanding wine, this app is turning into a useless tracking device. I scan and lock to compare prices and see “unavailable” for the past 4 years!!!! Reason I don’t contribute is ... post the price of the vino (ball park) and people might engage a lot more. So far the group around me right now ( 50+) says the app sucks... feedback: Fix It!!!! Just sharing the truth.

Dec 26th, 2018#3 wine in cab flight and a real surprise to me as this was crowned WOTN. 11 of 24 in a secret ballot picked this one over 12 other entries. It wasn’t my favorite but it was damn good. In a nice drinking window, well integrated tannins and a layered, full finish. Flight winner and WOTN!
