Nose has ripe black cherry, ripe strawberry, damp leather, faint wet wood charcoal and dry leaves.
Palate has ripe blackberry, dried Bing cherry, dehydrated strawberry with a lingering dry soil finish.
Holding up much better than expected. Notes at 24H; yesterday the nose was quite vivid. Decanted 90m.

Had this several years ago and it was terrific. This one, not so much. Absolutely past its prime

10 years old but hanging in there. Earthy and silky, diminished fruits. Longs for some truffled/mushroom dish.
