Golan Heights Winery
Gamla Kosher Golan Heights Cabernet Sauvignon
Israeli wine tasting, this time the powe house CS in Israeli restaurants. I tried it last time maybe 5-7 years ago, this one is showing less complex than previous vintages, or the bar just keeps on going up ;-)
Deep dark red, on the nose wild berries, black current, cedar wood, black cherries and a touch of American oak with a hint of vanilla, medium body with firm tannins and good acidity, nice medium finish, nice yet not complex. A nice daily wine...my score 85, drink to 2018

Nov 20th, 2023(16.5/20) Вино с ароматами чернослива и ежевики, дополненных тоном сухих табачных листьев. Свежая кислотность и мягкие танины. Отличное южное зрелое каберне.

Apr 28th, 2016I first tried this one at the King David Hotel. I was delighted to find that it was one of the less expensive wines at the liquor store (if there is such a thing in Israel). It will stay on my list of faves here as a result.
