It’s been years since I was able to try this expression that was the second edition of the now completed Private Edition releases that culminated with “Allta”. The purpose of “Finealta” was to reimagine what Glenmorangie might have tasted like long ago when the distillery managed their own malting floor and used more peat for fuel. This bottle has been well preserved and it’s divine with just a kiss of peat. Sort of reminds me of Tale of the Forest.
