Last night's Amarone.

1993 smooth but maybe just last its besr

Earthy up front and in aftertaste. Very drinkable but not my favourite grape. Browny red in colour. Drank with Mr Moore on patio in Coaley in the sunshine!

Medium/full body, dried dark fruits, earthy tones, black licorice...classic valpolichella.

A local casual dining room with an Italian focus offers their limited but interesting wine list at half off bottle pricing. When someone is going to pour good wine at this price (and was the dishes) I return often. Last night this smooth, round wine accompanied a beef/lamb/pork ragu. Terrific!

Tangy. This is not rich Amarone. It was snappy.
