Pure Cherry and strawberry juice ! Sugar nicely balanced by the acidity. Try a red fruit pie with it !

at wset level 2 course (6th meeting)
the class subject was š®š¹
four reds were poured
my guess was that it'll probably be nebbiolo, barbera, sangiovese and amarone. i came close.
besides the one with appassimento treatment guessing what is each one is far behind my tastebuds (for now š)
brownish red š
ripe fruit, recurrent, black cherry, eucalyptus, clove, smoke, and some meat. šŖ š
medium sweetness.
high acidity.
medium tannins.
full body.

this was so thick i just couldn't spit it!

Chocolate sugar plum nose blackberry pie palate. Well balanced oak, one of the best dessert wines I've ever tasted! Total Stunner!

Deep opaque purple color. Sweet. Dried fruits. Chocolate. Raisins. Rich and creamy. Nice acidity. Balanced tannins.

2010 vintage, 14% alcohol. Named after Giovanni Allegrini as it's his favourite, easy to understand why. Red fruit and herbal notes, softening tannins. Paired with a Happy Birthday Waitrose chocolate cake.
