The nose was incredible. Reminded me of a northern Rhône Syrah. But unfortunately the wine never quite opened up to its initial promise. Dry, well integrated tannins, but little complexity and the fruit, if it was there, hidden by the tannins of the oak.

Jan 5th, 2019Huge disappointment. Hand carried it from Mendoza. All oak upfront. But never integrated with the juice. Not after over two hours of decanting. We mustered half a bottle. Boy that has been along time we couldn’t finish a bottle....
