This lived up to my high expectations for this producer. A disarmingly lightweight Nebbiolo (as is proper to Grumello). Good acid, leather and red raspberry jam. Some occasional allusion to plums but not browning, the acid erased any fears of an oxidized palate--I would infer the high acid will keep the contents in a suspended preserved state for some time. Just drinks itself. Fantastic.

decant helped, but rimmerman hype didn't match the bottle.

JR wine straight from winery. A lighter Nebbiolo that's is lively and that mountain air freshness not usually associated with Nebbiolo. From Swiss border. Great balance of red fruit, minerals, acids and savory notes. Light on its feet. Delightful!

2007. Impressive. Light translucent color. Vibrant fruity nose. Dry tannic finish with subtle mid palate.

Not your run of the mill Nebbiolo , the mountain funk does blow off and it has nice glycerin mouth feel. Rimmerman hype is overdone but it turns rather nice with a little air. And it's not $ 30 after all.

Hmm, not sure this was in a proper place. Interesting though.
