2005 vintage. Even at 11 years old this is a big mouthful of zippy sour cherries. Just what Barbera is supposed to be.

Had this 2 years ago and was over the moon. This time, not as much. It's a bit more square, and not quite as focused. I'm surprised to say this bottle (at least) might have just passed its peak.

Beautiful perfume on the nose and at first closed with not a lot cf complexity in the mouth. After 45 minutes some acidity arrived and added more pleasure. A good but not amazing showing to one for one of the great barbera's.
