Caratteristiche: colore rosso rubino molto intenso con riflessi granata. Profumo ricco, complesso, di notevole concentrazione e spessore; si evidenziano in particolare sentori di frutta rossa e piccoli frutti, di sottofondo alcune spezie mentose, vaniglia e liquirizia. Sapore generoso, di gran corpo e notevole struttura, perfetto amalgama dei caratteri del vitigno e dell’apporto del legno, in un insieme di grande morbidezza e gran classe. Accompagna grandi piatti di carne, arrosti, anche con salse, formaggi stagionati.
