Ghost Cellars Paso Robles Proprietary Red Wine 2018, California

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

On the nose blueberries, cherries, spices, light oak, licorice, earth, tobacco and black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, light vanilla, oak, spices, peppercorn, earth, pencil lead and coffee.

Medium finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.

This is a nice Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from Paso Robles. Easy drinking with a soft and spicy mouthfeel.

Good by itself and better with food.
Tangy and good right out of the bottle.

A good everyday wine that should get better in the next few years.

I paired it with prosciutto, olives and crackers. Will pair nicely with pizza.

A blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc, 1% Merlot and 2% Malbec. A small production of only 423 cases.

12.9% alcohol by volume.

88 points.

Perfect wine for a party with a halloween theme.

Dark garnet red core with a little bricking on the edges. A bit of acetone on the nose and a touch toasty with smoked berries. Medium plus tannins (6.5/10) and medium bodied. A little jammy on the palate but minimal with some layered dark berries, twigs, spices, bark and gravel. Dry medium plus to long finish. Drink till 2023.
